Donna Gillen

Member

Donna qualified as a nurse in 1994. She specialised as a cancer nurse in 1998 working as a chemotherapy nurse and later in cancer research. She enjoys travelling and has worked in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Australia.


Currently Donna is seconded as lead nurse to Central and South Genomic Medicine Alliance and is studying for a postgraduate certificate in Genomics. Working in healthcare and research, as well as living with type 1 diabetes for 35 years, has led to an interest in how our data is protected whilst being used for common benefit. 


She enjoys yoga, walking and spending time with friends.
