Patient data journey

The diagram below shows what happens to the eye data routinely collected from patients that forms the basis of INSIGHT.

It begins with your visit to hospital, when you have an eye scan or test. This data is stored safely by the hospital, which then shares it with INSIGHT. We combine similar data from thousands of patients to form large datasets. We anonymise these datasets before making them available for carefully vetted research projects that will bring clear patient benefit.
